Bhubaneswar: Nrutyangana’s two-day-long 11th Odissi Nrutya Sangeeta Festival is all set enthrall art lovers at Utkal Rangamanch, ORC, Bhubaneswar on May 28 and 29.
This year, Nrutyangana, one of the premier dance institutions of the State, will felicitate Odissi exponent Padma Shri recipient Ranjana Gauhar. Similarly, journalist Arundhati Mallick will also be felicitated for her dedication towards highlighting the art and culture of the State.
The inaugural evening’s cultural programmes include a group Odissi dance by the students of Nrutyangana, solo Odissi dance by Alokrani Swain, solo Odissi dance by Rupali Panda, solo Odissi dance by Nibedita Singh, semi classical dance by students of Nrutyangana, Gujarati folk dance by students of Sangeetan Dance Academy and Sambalpuri folk dance by students of Nrutyangana.
Similarly, the second evening will have some scintillating presentations including a group Odissi dance by students of Nrutyangana, Odissi solo by Vinod Kevin Bachan, Odissi solo by Saswati Sahoo, Odissi solo by Diptish Satpathy, Bihu group dance by students of Nrutyambada Dance Academy, folk dance by artistes of Vikash Natya Mandali, Dhemsa group dance by Trilochan Sahoo and group and Sambalpuri folk dance by students of Nrutyarpan Dance Academy.
