3rd National Parala Dance Festival held in Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: The third edition of National Parala Dance Festival ‘Nritya Pallavi 2024’ was recently held at Urban Bank ground, Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district.

The festival organised by Shree Jagannath Odissi Kalakendra in association with the district council of culture, started with the auspicious lighting the lamp ceremony and a meeting chaired by Adarsh Das, the advisor of the host institution. The dignitaries who graced the festival were Guru Gajendra Panda, Paralakhemundi MLA K Narayan Rao, Municipality chairperson Nirmala Sethi, educationist Dr Jitendra Pattanayak, Guru Raghunath Patra and culture officer Archana Mangaraj.

On this occasion, noted theatre personality Nrusingha Charan Pattanayak and a noted Bharatnatyam dancer from West Bengal, Preeti Pal were felicitated.

The art lovers were treated with some scintillating Bharatnatyam, Odissi and folk dance performances presented by Preeti Pal, the students of Tridhara, Bhubaneswar and Shree Jagannath Odissi Kalakendra.

The anchors of the evening were Adarsh Kumar Dash and Arupanjali Mohanty.
