Bhubaneswar: The fourth edition of Nrutya Utsav by Natya Sastra, a Bhubaneswar based Odissi dance institution founded by Mithilesh Patnaik, was held at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on November 28.
After the customary lighting the lamp ceremony, the felicitation ceremony began. Guru Durgacharan Ranbir, one of the torch bearers of Guru Debaprasad Das legacy, was felicitated with Natya Sastra award.

The cultural evening witnessed some scintillating performances by Guru Ashish Kumar Das, disciples of Guru Arati Kar, disciples of Guru Braja Kishore Mallick, disciples of Guru Dr Sujata Mishra and disciples of Guru Suhag Nalini Das.
The attraction of the evening was a dance drama ‘Maya’, presented by Mithilesh, an immaculate performer despite being challenged by autism, and students of Natya Sastra. The presentation style of the episode of Surpanakha from Ramayan was excellent. The item was choreographed by Guru Braja Kishore Mallick, music composed by Guru Sukanta Kumar Kundu and rhythm composed by Guru Dhaneswar Swain.
Art lovers had an engrossing viewing experience. Dr Mrutyunjay Rath was the anchor of the evening.
