Bhubaneswar: This year’s Sisupalgarh Samman will be conferred upon Padma Shri Kum Kum Mohanty, informed Chairman, Kalinga Association for Protection of Culture and Heritage (KAPOCH), Sangram Keshari Paikray at a press meet recently held here in Bhubaneswar.
On this occasion, the poster of four-day long 6th Sisupalgarh Mahotsav was also released.
While informing about the festival, Paikray said this year’s festival features Odissi dance, Sambalpuri folk dance, Gotipua dance and Fat Fighter Malkhamb. They apart, Hemant Brijbasi, a singer from Mumbai, Tarik Aziz, Rituraj Mohanty, Ollywood singers like Aseema Panda and Mantu Chhuria will enthrall the audience. Harihara Dash’ locking popping will be another attraction.
On the concluding evening, ‘4th Ollywood Samman’ will be given away to best actors and actresses of Odia film and television industries.
This year, food court, meena bazaar and joy rides will add colour to the festival, Paikray informed.
Kalinga Association for Protection of Culture and Heritage hosts the festival every year at Dussehra Ground in Sisupalgarh, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
