Bhubaneswar: At a time when the film industries, be it Bollywood, Tollywood or Ollywood, are passing through a difficult phase in the wake up pandemic coronavirus outbreak, the state government is mulling over infusing life into the Odia film industry.
After a virtual meeting with Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC) officials July 9, tourism minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi informed that the government will organise a film festival after the coronavirus situation gets better.
The film industry has suffered a huge loss owing to the pandemic. All the theatres across the state have been closed. Shooting has been cancelled. While directors, actors, actresses and the entire units are eagerly waiting for the pandemic situation come to an end, cine goers are equally eager to see when their actors and actresses will again entertain them.
