Bhubaneswar: Aradhana Dance Academy, an Odissi dance institution in Bhubaneswar, is going to organise the second edition of ‘Sasneha’ at Bhanjakala Mandap in Bhubaneswar on January 18, 2024.
On this occasion, the institution is organising a dance competition among junior (7-12) and senior (13-18) Odissi dancers at Bhanjakala Mandap on January 10 and 11 respectively. The participants have been asked to carry any document to prove their date of birth.
The winners will be felicitated with Dr Sneha Prava Samantaray National Odissi Dance Awards at the festival on January 18.
The first, second and third prize winners in both categories will receive cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5000 respectively.
The aspiring dancers have been asked to deposit Rs 500 towards registration fee, which is nonrefundable.
The participants have been asked to apply with a YouTube link or a video clip of their performances not more than six minutes. For these videos, they are not necessarily required to be in Odissi costumes. The video shot in a practice saree will also be considered.
