Bhubaneswar: Alleging her husband Anubhab Mohanty, Kendrapara MP, was harassing and assaulting her, actress Barsha moved court against the actor turned politician.
The actress has filed the case under ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act’ in the court of Cuttack SDJM. The case was filed under section 12 of the Act.
In her petition, Barsha alleged Anubhab is a habitual drunkard and often arrange booze sessions with friends at home. She also alleged that he has extra marital affairs with several women connected with Odia film industry. She has sought maintenance from Anubhab.
According to the official website of the District Courts, the first hearing of the case will be held on September 7.
