New Delhi: Aradhana Nrutya Kendra, a distinguished Odissi dance institution, celebrated its 10th annual day, ‘Nupur,’ with grandeur at Studio 21, Pacific D21 Mall, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, graced by Guests of Honour Mukesh Sinha and Dr. Kirti Dhingra, alongside Special Guest Sushamay Biswas.

The evening unfolded with a series of captivating performances by the academy’s students, showcasing their dedication and artistry.

The repertoire included traditional pieces such as Mangalacharan, Batu, Basant Pallavi, and an expressive Abhinaya rendition of ‘Srita Kamala Kucha Mandala’ from Jayadev’s Gita Govinda.

Performers like Aradhaya Sinha, Diya Mehta, Madhvi Priyadarshini, Prajna Tripathy, Riyanka Jena, Rudra Sinha, Snigdha Das, Sanaya Tickoo, Vaanya Bisht, and Vaishnavi Bisht captivated the audience with their nuanced presentations.

Adding to the cultural mosaic, Zoie Aggarwal, a disciple of Govind Kumar, delivered an engaging Kathak recital, while the host institution’s students presented vibrant Sambalpuri folk dances.
Founded in 2008 by eminent Odissi dancer Aradhana Das Sinha, a disciple of Guru Basanti Mishra, Aradhana Nrutya Kendra has grown from humble beginnings in Dwarka to a reputable institution affiliated with Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.
Sinha, an empaneled artist of the India World Cultural Forum (IWCF), has performed at numerous prestigious festivals across India and has been honoured with accolades such as the Nritya Ratna Award from Ram Kumar Mishra Tabla Institute, Delhi, Kala Utkarshti Samman from Maa Sarswati Nritya Bharti Kalapeeth, and the Guru Samman Award from Nischintam Dance Academy.
Her students have carried forward her legacy, participating in esteemed festivals including Utkal Diwas celebrations at JNU, NSIT, Dwarka, Jagannath Seva Sangh, Dwarka, Aero Cultural Fest, Neemrana, Bal Kala Utsav, Sanskriti Pratibha Utsav, and RangRaasiya Odissi Utsav 2019. They have also showcased their talents at Dandiya nights organized at Pacific Mall and Vegas Mall.
Many have earned scholarships from CCRT, New Delhi, and have secured top positions in solo and group dance competitions.
The 10th ‘Nupur’ celebration Stands as a testament to Aradhana Nrutya Kendra’s unwavering commitment to nurturing classical dance and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage.
