Bhubaneswar: The curtains rose on the second edition of Antardhwani Sangeet Mahotsav along with Pratibha Anwesana Utsav, organized by Antardhwani Academy, was held at Rabindra Mandap on Monday.
The evening was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by esteemed guests including renowned Odissi vocalist and Padma Shri recipient Shyamamani Devi, ex-DGP Sunil Bansal. The academy’s president Asit Kumar Dash, vice-president Meera Panda and the man behind the festival, Dr Sandeep Rout also present on the dais.
Adding a feather to the evening’s cap, Antardhwani Samman 2025 was presented to eminent personalities like Pt Harmohan Khuntia, Guru Dhaneswar Swain, Dr Sangeeta Gosain, Dr Pitambar Biswal, Dr Premanand Mohapatra and Dr Chakradhar Behera for their remarkable contributions to music and performing art world.
As part of the Pratibha Anwesana Utsav, budding artistes from different age groups-junior, sub-junior and senior-participated in a range of competitions such as Hindustani classical music, table, instrumental music, Odissi dance and Kathak dance. The winners of these competitions were honoured in the festival.
The festival drew to a close with performances that struck a chord with the audience, reaffirming Antardhwani Academy’s commitment to nurturing young talent while keeping the rich legacy of Indian classical music and dance.
