‘Bara Badhu’ promises an emotional journey rooted in Odia culture; music launched in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The upcoming Odia film “Bara Badhu” is arriving with a wave of excitement and anticipation. The music launch ceremony of the film was successfully held at Event Square, Bhubaneswar, on Friday.

The event witnessed a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, with the entire star cast and music team of the film in attendance.

Music for this much-awaited film has been composed by youth sensation Gaurav Anand, in collaboration with Bharat Hitarth. The film has nine songs, penned by J. P. Wordsmith, Stitha Patnaik, Sumit Panda, D. Suprabha, Phoenix, and Sunil Parida while popular singers including Papun, Krishna Beura, Ananya Sritam Nanda, Asima Panda, Arpita Choudhury, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gaurav Anand, Ashish Pradhan, Anurag Das, and Shubhashree Jena have rendered their voices.

Based on a purely Odia storyline, ‘Bara Badhu’ has struck a chord with the audience, who thoroughly enjoyed all the songs during the launch event. The music is expected to particularly appeal to the youth.

The film has been directed by Beeswaranjan, who has also handled the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The cast features Subhasish Sharma, Shailendra Samantaray, Shivani Sangeeta, Suryamayi Mohapatra, Jayshree Sarangi, Hara Rath, and Bhaswati Basu in pivotal roles.

Produced by Chandra Mani under the banner of The Useful Garbage Creations, the film has Country Boyz Studios and Sharpline Film Private Limited as associate production houses. Biswaranjan and Sushil Kumar Mishra have served as co-producers, efficiently fulfilling their responsibilities.

Cinematography has been handled by Bijitesh De, while editing has been done by Deepika Karla. The sound design is by acclaimed Odia professional Nihar Samal, who has earned praise for his work on several major Bollywood films. Sambit Jena is in charge of PR and marketing. The music rights have been acquired by Amara Music, and the film is being distributed by Prakash Films.

‘When I heard the storyline, I instantly agreed to associate with it. I can say this film will break the monotony of Odia film industry and will be regarded as a film at par with Bollywood film. I am so confident about the film because our actors and technicians are topnotch and we have exceptionally taken care of our presentation and storytelling to make the film appealing,” observed producer Chandra Mani.

Echoing him, director Beeswaranjan said, “The film has all ingredients to prove it to be crowd puller. An original story has been so weaved that it won’t let cine lovers to take their eyes off eth screen.”

Rooted deeply in love, tradition, and values, ‘Bara Badhu’ promises to offer audiences an emotionally rich cinematic experience.

Keeping Valentine’s Day in mind, the film is set for a pan-India release on February 13.
