Bhubaneswar: The cameras are rolling for the much-awaited Odia film ‘Shikar’, which officially went on floors with an elaborate muhurat ceremony at the sacred Balunkeshwar Temple premises in Nayapalli, marking a promising beginning for the project.
The film is being produced by noted Ollywood producer Sachikanta Jena under his banner Moon TV Movies, in collaboration with Prakash Films, with Siddharth Music lending musical support to the film.
The auspicious occasion witnessed a strong turnout of Ollywood’s who’s who. While co-producers Yugal Devta, Pramod Swain, Jubuli Sundaray, Shridhar Martha, Ramesh Barik, Atish Raut, and Shyama Prasad Mishra graced the occasion, the film’s director Mrutyunjaya Sahoo (Bapi), story and dialogue writer Priyabrata Panda, veteran actors Pradyumna Lenka, Prashant Patra, and lead cast Amlan Das, Elina Samantaray, Ankit, and Supriya Nayak were also present, alongside several dignitaries and media representatives.
Billed as a gripping mystery thriller, ‘Shikar’ delves into a shocking family murder. Who committed the crime? What was the motive? And who is the real hunter behind these dark events? Several characters become entangled in this suspenseful narrative, keeping audiences guessing until the end. The film also weaves in emotional family elements, making it a complete entertainer.
Music for the film is composed by the contemporary music director Baidhyanath Dash, while choreography is handled by Amit Nayak. Pratap Raut will handle cinematography.The lead roles feature Amlan Das, Elina Samantaray, Supriya Nayak, and Ankit. Shooting has officially commenced from the muhurat day, and the production team has announced that the film is slated for release in the near future.
With its compelling mix of suspense, drama, and family emotions, ‘Shikar’ has already begun stirring excitement within the Odia film fraternity and is poised to offer audiences a riveting cinematic experience.
