Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Music Circle (BMC) successfully organised an enchanting evening titled “Colours of Hindustani Classical Music” at Jayadev Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, on Monday, bringing together renowned artistes and music lovers to celebrate the timeless tradition of Hindustani classical music.
The programme commenced with a captivating duet violin recital by Ashish Kumar Perei and Satrughna Beura, accompanied on tabla by Biswaranjan Nanda.
The duo mesmerised the audience with their impeccable coordination, melodic expressions and rich classical repertoire, earning warm appreciation from the gathering.
The second segment featured a soulful Hindustani vocal recital by Ms. Silpamudra, accompanied by Rakesh Behera on tabla, Dr. Sarada Prasan Das on violin and Dr. Sandipana Pati on tanpura.
Her expressive rendition, marked by technical brilliance and emotional depth, created a serene musical atmosphere and received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, members of Bhubaneswar Music Circle reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to preserving, promoting and popularising India’s rich Hindustani classical music heritage by providing a platform for both accomplished and emerging artistes.
The programme concluded on a high note, with the audience expressing appreciation for the BMC’s continued efforts in nurturing classical music and cultural values.
