Anubhav’s ‘Charidham’ poster unveiled

Bhubaneswar: Amid the spiritual wave of the sacred Ratha Yatra, the first poster of Anubhav Mohanty’s much-anticipated Odia film ‘Charidham – A Journey Within’ was unveiled, creating ripples across social media and among movie enthusiasts in Odisha.

The timing couldn’t have been more auspicious as the poster launch during Lord Jagannath’s annual chariot festival has added a divine touch to the film’s promotional journey.

With the film aiming for a grand Durga Puja release across Odisha, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep the buzz alive.Odisha’s film industry, which has been finding its feet again, is witnessing a resurgence of interest from local audiences eager to watch quality Odia films on the big screen.

Anubhav’s recent hit Karma has already set the ball rolling, and fans believe Charidham will follow suit, with excitement spilling over platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Produced by Himadri Tanaya Das under the Camera Queen Production banner, Charidham boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Mamata Tripathy, Sukanta Rath, Ashish Kumar Das, and other notable artists.

The film is helmed by director Tapas Sargharia, with a story by Akhil Rautray and dialogues by Kumarshree Sahu. Music is being jointly scored by Somesh Satpathy and Baidyanath Das, while choreography is handled by Girish Mohanty.

Subrat Kumar cranks the camera as DOP, and Suresh Pattnaik pens the screenplay.The first poster captures the essence of India’s four sacred pilgrimage sites, aligning perfectly with the film’s spiritual theme. Its poignant tagline has already struck a chord with viewers, hinting at a narrative that steers clear of the beaten path.

Interestingly, Charidham is not confining itself to Odisha for its shoot but is exploring diverse locations across India, underscoring its pan-Indian aspiration. The team is upbeat, confident that the film will resonate not just with audiences in Odisha but also in other states during the Durga Puja festival.

With faith, storytelling, and star power coming together, Charidham is all set to carve its own path when it hits theatres later this year.
