Bhubaneswar: Morning shows the day. The trailer of ‘Aparanhhara Surjya’, which was released on July 25, promises to offer an engrossing viewing experience with unexpected twists.
The trailer has already created a buzz among movie lovers.
Ananya Production’s second venture (the first one was Nai Separi Kanaka Gori), ‘Aparanhhara Surjya’ tells the story of a ‘head burial kela’, a person who buries his head to run his family and entertain others.
Barju (Kalinga Das) performs this play to feed three other empty stomachs of his family. The other members of his family are his wife Lata (Munmun Khuntia), his son Sana and daughter Kandri. Child artistes Subham Sahoo and Maanvi Bhadra play the characters of Sana and Kandri respectively. Their grownup characters are portrayed by Rahul Bindhani and Susandhya Narayani Mohanty respectively.
According to the production house, what will attract cine lovers to the film halls is the brilliant weaving of a heart touching love story.
According to Ajaya Mohanty, the producer of the film who has made a directional debut with this film, the tradition of performing ‘Munda Pota’ (head burial) doesn’t exist anymore.
“I did a lot of research before starting shooting of the film. Another thing I want to mention that the film has only one song and about 40 ancient musical instruments that have fallen silent due to the onslaught of time are used in this song,” said Mohanty, adding his film won’t let the cine lovers down.
The star cast of the film is Jaya, Pramod Rout, Kalinga Dash, Munmun Khuntia, Subham Sahoo, Maanvi Bhadra, Somnath Das, Janaki Mishra, Susandhya Narayani Mohanty, Rahul Bindhani, Dr Lalit Behera, Pulin Sahu, Benu and Rina Mishra.
While Mahendra Kumar Acharya is the lyricist and music director of the film, the film has only one song and Subhashish Mahakul has rendered his voice to it.
The film is all set to be released on the occasion of Ganesh Puja in Bhubaneswar and across the state on September 14.
