Audience thrilled as Nabakalebara team watches film with them in Berhampur

Berhampur: The team of the film ‘Shree Jagannathnka Nabakalebara’ recently visited Rukmini, Payal, and Gayatri cinema halls in Berhampur and watched the film together with the audience.

The film, which narrates the sacred ritual of Nabakalebara—the renewal of Lord Jagannath’s divine forms—has been drawing large crowds to theaters.

Producer-director Bini Samal, producer Dillip Samal, executive producer Pranaya Jethi, and actors Siddhanta Mahapatra (as Bissar Mahanti), Shritam Das (as Raja Mukunda Dev), Jyoti Nayak (as Gajapati Ramachandra Dev), and Anshuman (as Kalapahad) visited Rukmini, Payal, and Gayatri cinema halls in Brahmapur to watch the film with viewers.

Finding their favourite actors among them, the audience was thrilled and captured selfies with them.

Many viewers were visibly moved after watching the film, which has been widely appreciated for promoting and preserving Jagannath culture on screen.

Movie enthusiasts from Brahmapur and nearby towns flocked to the theaters to watch the film.

Speaking to the media, the Nabakalebara team shared their happiness at witnessing the love and support the people of Brahmapur have for Odia cinema and for stories rooted in Odisha’s spiritual heritage.
