Bhubaneswar: Veteran actor Dharmendra, popularly known as Bollywood’s He-Man, breathed his last on Monday. He was 89.
With the passing away of Sholay-actor, an era spanning over six decades has come to an end.
As the shocking news broke out, social media platforms are getting flooded with condolence messages from actors, actresses and fans.
The actor made his debut with ‘Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere’ in 1960. He worked in more than 300 films with records of acting in the highest number of hit movies.
He will be remembered for movies like ‘Mera Gaon Mera Desh’, ‘Jugnu’, ‘Yaadon Ki Barat’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Pratiggya’, ‘Dharamveer’, ‘Samadhi’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Hukumat’, and the list goes on.
He received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Bollywood in 1997.
