Chalachitra Jagat award: Ardhendu receives best actor award for ‘Villain’; here’s the list

Bhubaneswar: In a star-studded evening organised by Odisha’s ancient film magazine ‘Chalachitra Jagat’ at Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, awards were conferred in 34 categories including Nitai Palit Memorial Award, Bhim Singh Memorial Award, Satyanarayan Agrawal Memorial Award, and Ashutosh Mohapatra Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to cinema.

It was the 49th Annual Festival and Chalachitra Jagat Pratibha Samman – 2024.The event was inaugurated by Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of Skill Development and Technical Education; Pradip Bal Samanta, Minister of Cooperation, Handloom, Textiles, and Handicrafts; Babu Singh, MLA of Ekamra-Bhubaneswar; and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mohanty, Chairman of Swosti Group and Managing Director, Rotary Bhubaneswar district governor Dr Jagyansis Mohapatra, senior cine director Sisir Mishra and administrative officer Pranabjyoti Nath, under the supervision of Adikanda Rout, editor of Chalachitra Jagat.

While actor Ardhendu Sundar Sahu and Tamanna were adjudged and felicitated as best actor and best actress respectively for ‘Villian’, ‘Karma’ bagged best film and its director Anupam Patnaik received best director award.
