Ganarpota Saptak Natya Sanstha’s drama festival, a bouquet of entertainment

North 24 Praganas: Ganarpota Saptak Natya Sanstha is all set to organize three-day-long 24th drama festival at Barnaporichay Auditorium starting December 23.

While the inaugural evening will have two plays, the rest of the two evenings will witness three plays each.

The plays to be staged on the inaugural evening will be Kojagori by Belgharia Avimukh, playwright and direction by Koushik Chattopadhyay and Rakta Upakhyan by Shantipur Sanaskritik, playwright and direction by Koushik Chatterjee.

On December 24, Journey Of Spartacus, a play based on Badal Sircar’s Spartacus will be staged at 6 pm. Adapted and directed by Lopamudra Guha Neogi, the play will be staged by Bongaon Dhula Urania. The second play of the evening, Aao Tanik Prem Karein, will be staged at 7.30 pm. Patna based Divine Social Development Organization will stage the play, written by Vibha Rani and designed and directed by Swaram Upadhyay. The last play of the evening will be Comfort Zone Athoba More Geli Arunesh?, written by  Swapan Ranjan Haldar and directed by Ruma Chatterjee and Pranoy Biswas of Ganarpota Saptak Natya Sanstha.

The plays lined up for the concluding evening will be Anarzayan, Rupai Saju Katha and Kaler Jatra  by Garia Sucharcha, Dakshineswar Sanket and Ganarpota Saptak Natya Sanstha respectively. The first play is written and directed by Nandan Bhattacharya, the second is edited and directed by Priyanko Roy and Ruma Chatterjee & Pranoy Biswas.
