Bhubaneswar: The long wait of cine lovers to watch youth sensation and debutant actor Lohitakshya fight, dance and romance on the big screen is finally over.
The production house has officially announced that the film is all set to hit silver screen on December 31, ringing in the New Year with high-octane entertainment.
The film was first scheduled for a Diwali release but censor-related issues threw a spanner in the works, resulting in delaying its release date. However, the clouds have now cleared with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granting the movie an ‘A’ certificate. After receiving the certificate, the production house DRS Enterprisers announced that the film will be released on December 31.
Informing about the latest development, producer Debashis Pattnaik, who is also Lohitakshya’s father, said, “We couldn’t release the film on time because of censor-related issues. After 15 days’ hard work and shelling out an additional Rs 5 lakh, we finally received the certificate from the CBFC.”

“We hosted an event to announce our film’s new release date-December 31-and also distributed 25 EV scooters to as many Divyang beneficiaries,” he added.
The production house is confident that Lohitakshya will win hearts and that ‘Ladhei’ packed with all the required ingredients of a mass entertainer, will set the box office abuzz. Sources close to the production house said the film is expected to release in around 50 cinema halls across Odisha, along with several screens in Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Alongside Lohitakshya, debutant Abhilipsa stars opposite him, with a strong supporting cast including Pritiranjan, KK, Bibhas, Udit Guru, Somesh, Madhu, Smita Choudhury, Manoj Dandapat, Rajlaxmi Dakuwa, Rabi Narayan Behera, Sushant, Rajlaxmi Mahapatra, and Ashok Pattnaik.
Directed by Ollywood’s stylish director Ashok Pati, the film boasts a vibrant soundtrack by youth-favourites Gaurav Anand-Somesh Satpathy. Lyricist Dr. Nirmal Nayak, Bapu Goswami, and J.P. Wordsmith weave the words, brought to life by leading playback singers including Ananya Shritam Nanda, Antara Chakraborty, Aseema Panda, Kuldeep Pattanayak, Swayam Pravas Padhi, Sourabh Bharadwaj, alongside the music directors themselves. A rap segment by Addiction adds extra punch to the title track.
The film features four songs—a theme/title track, a romantic duet, a dance number, and an item song—promising something for every music lover. covering a range of genres to captivate all listeners. Choreographer Amit ensures foot-tapping, visually appealing dance sequences.
Rooted in a strong, original, and unconventional storyline, with screenplay and dialogues by Bharadwaj Panda and cinematography by Kuldip. ‘Ladhei’ is primed to make a splash as it welcomes audiences into the New Year.
