Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odissi dancer and wife of legendary Guru late Kelucharan Mohapatra, Laxmipriya Mohapatra is no more. She was 93.
Sources said she was suffering from age related issues. She breathed her last at 11:10 pm at her residence at Bhimtangi in Bhubaneswar.
The news of her demise has left dance and music fraternity shocked.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his condolences over demise of Odissi dance exponent. Paying his rich tributes to the departed soul, he announced state funeral for her.
Her last rites will be held at Swargadwar in Puri, it was learnt.
