Noted Urdu poet Dr Rahat Indori is no more

Bhubaneswar: Noted Urdu poet and lyricist Dr Rahat Indore passed following a heart attack at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science in Indore Tuesday. He was 70.

He died a day after he tested positive for coronavirus. He also suffered from other health issues like Diabetes, hypertension and heart problems.

Born to Rafatullah Qureshi and Maqbool In Nisa Begum in Indore on January 1, 1950, Rahat Indori will be remembered for the songs he penned like ‘Chori Chori Jab Nazre…’ from film KAREEB, ‘Neend Churayee Meri Kisne…’ from film ISHQ, ‘Tumsa Koi Pyara…’ from film KHUDDAR, ‘Koi Jaye To Le Aaye…’ from film GHATAK etc.
