Nrutyayana Trust observes its 7th annual festival in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Nrutyayana Trust on Wednesday celebrated its seventh annual festival at Bhanjakala Mandap in Bhubaneswar.

Established by Odissi dancer Smt Sunita Maharana, the trust has not only nurturing talents but also providing them a platform to shine.

The evening commenced with an auspicious lighting the lamp ceremony graced by guests like MLA of Bhubaneswar Central Ananta Narayan Jena, captain Manmath Routray, eminent Odissi dancers Guru Smt Chapala Mishra and Guru Smt Muktilata Pal, former chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) Sandhyabati Pradhan, social activists Dr Bandana Harichandan, Sarada Prasad Mohapatra and Narayan Chandra Ojha.

Next, the members of ‘Odisha Kalakar Swara’ and ‘Lady Protection Team’, social activists, Odissi dancers and actors were felicitated with ‘Nrutyayana Pratibha Samman’ for their contributions to the society and arts.

The cultural evening witnessed some scintillating Odissi and vibrant folk dances presented by the students of the trust, drawing resounding applause from the audience.

Adding a touch of eloquence to the evening, Dr Mrutyunjay Rath did the seamless anchoring.
