ODIA CINE ACTRESS DEEPA SAHU PASSES AWAY AT 35

Bhubaneswar: Odia cine actress Deepa Sahu Monday lost her year-long battle against deadly cancer. She breathed her last at about 4pm at a private hospital.
She diagnosed with ovarian cancer and successfully fought against the disease till Monday when she eventually gave in.
As the news broke, actors, actresses and her fans mourned her untimely demise on social media platforms.
The actress had to be rushed to Capital Hospital as her condition went serious. Later she was shifted to a private hospital.
The actress born in Dhenkanal district on October 25, 1985 was at the peak of her career when Odia album industry was a thriving one.
‘Tora Krushnachuda Ranga Ra Nali Odhani…’, ‘Ekda Ekda Ra…’, ‘Hai Hai To Mali Phula Gajara’ are some of her albums for which she will always be remembered. Later she also acted in some TV serials and films. She made her debut in film ‘Nari Akhire Nian’, directed by Sanjay Nayak. The other actors and actresses featured in the film were Siddhant Mohapatra, Mihir Das, Anu Choudhury and Debu Bose.
She is survived by her husband and a ten-year-old daughter.
Notably, the Odia film industry had earlier this month suffered a jolt in the form of losing veteran actor Bijay Mohanty.
