Bhubaneswar: At a time when original storytelling is taking center stage in Odia cinema and scripting box office successes one after another, Satyavama Cine Productions’ ‘LADO’ with a tagline ‘Matira Manisha’ is all set to join the league.
In a glittering, star-studded evening in Bhubaneswar, the much anticipated film’s music and teaser were released on Thursday. Among others, producer Tutu Nayak, Rotarian and environmentalist Yajnashish Mohapatra and BJP leader Jaga Pradhan graced the event and extended their best wishes for the film’s success.
The movie’s plot revolves around a village youth named Lado who wakes up to the harsh reality that rampant deforestation is the main cause of air, water and soil pollutions and takes up cudgels against those so called ‘educated’ persons who are felling trees in jungles in the name of industrialization, urbanization and road construction and expansion.

According to the production house, the film is inspired by a real incident and has been crafted into a gripping tale. With all ingredients of a success story, the movie promises an engrossing viewing experience, not to let the cine lovers dozing off in their seats.
The film features three songs penned by Dr Nirmal Nayak, woven seamlessly into the narrative. The makers believe the music will tug the heartstrings of cine lovers. ‘Love in London’ and ‘Charidham’ fame music director Somesh Satpathy has composed the soundtracks with singers like Antara Chakraborty, Asima Panda, Mantu Chhuria, Pratham Kumbhar and Gourav Ananda have lent their voices.
While Subham Sagar can be seen in the titular role of ‘Lado’, Arlin Ankita is paired against him. Both the actors are making their debut in the film.
