Odia movie ‘I Am Kalia’ audio released in Bhubaneswar; film to hit screens on July 4

Bhubaneswar: The audio release function of the Odia film ‘I Am Kalia’ was held recently amidst much fanfare and an esteemed gathering at Press Club in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

The film, produced under the banner of Lee Bliss Entertainment, narrates a heart-touching social story centered around unwavering devotion to Lord Jagannath, reflecting the lives of many who selflessly dedicate themselves to divinity, transcending worldly attachments.

Present at the audio launch were actor and MLA Akash Das Nayak, BJP leader Sameer Mohanty, BJP State Secretary Kalandi Samal, editor of Kadambini Dr. Iti Samanta, director Subash Das, producer Satchikant Jena, actor Shakti Baral, story writer, director and actor of the film Harihar Mahapatra, producer of the film Subash Sahu, actors Kuna Tripathy, Pushpa Panda and Tikina, among other notable personalities from the Odia film fraternity.

Director Harihar Mahapatra shared that the film is fully dedicated to Lord Jagannath and is made with sincere spiritual intent.

Dr. Iti Samanta emphasized the importance of upholding and promoting our language, literature, art, and traditions through such positive cinematic efforts. Actor Akash Das Nayak praised the divine blessings upon the cast and crew for undertaking such a spiritually rooted project and expressed confidence in its success.

The film features Harihar Mahapatra in the lead along with Russian theatre actress Aniya, Kuna Tripathy, Pushpa Panda, and Satwaki Mishra. The story is written by Monalisa Mahapatra, while screenplay and direction are by Harihar Mahapatra.

The film has four songs of different tastes. While music has been composed by Baidyanath Das, Surya Mahapatra, Dr. Subha Das, Pramod Parida, and Nihar Priyashis have written the songs, and Humane Sagar, Asima Panda, Kuldeep, Prajna Hota, Sricharan, Sukanta Kundu, and Sanju Mohanty have lent their voices.

The choreography was done by Sudhakar Basant, Raja Mohanty, and Kumar Mantu.The production house believes the film as well as the songs will be appreciated by the cine lovers.

Filmed entirely in the holy city of Puri, this marks the third Odia film featuring a foreign actress in a lead role.

The film is scheduled to release across Odisha on July 4, coinciding with the Bahuda Yatra of Lord Jagannath, as announced by the production team.
