Bhubaneswar: Eminent Ollywood music director and much-loved ‘melody king’ Abhijit Majumdar has been shifted from a private hospital in Cuttack to AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
He was shifted on Wednesday night for better treatment, sources said. He is reportedly on ventilator support.
His deteriorating health conditions has meanwhile sparked concerns among his fans.
According to sources, the popular music director was admitted to the private hospital on August 27 after he fell ill while performing at a music programme during Ganesh Puja celebrations. Four days later, he was discharged from the hospital. He had to be readmitted on August 31 following complaints of uneasiness.
For better treatment of the Ollywood music director, he was shifted to AIIMS. At the time of shifting, his close family members, friends and some noted personalities from Odia film industry were present.
Meanwhile, no bulletin on his health conditions has been issued by the premier health institution.
Since the news of his health conditions broke out; family members, friends, well-wishers and fans are praying for his speedy recovery. Meanwhile, social media platforms have been flooded with heartfelt prayers and messages, wishing his speedy recovery.
One of the most-sought after music directors in Ollywood, Abhijitda, as his is fondly called, has scored music for over 700 songs for Odia and Sambalpuri movies and albums.
His best works include ‘Munna: A Love Story’, ‘To Bina Bhala Lagena’, ‘Sasura Ghara Zindabad’, ‘Balunga Toka’, ‘Matric Fail’, ‘Rangila Toka’, ‘Love Master’, ‘Daha Balunga’, ‘Smile Please’, ‘Ame To Toka Sandha Marka’, ‘Sundargarh Ra Salman Khan’, ‘Golmal Love’, and ‘Jor Ka Jhatka’.
