Bhubaneswar: ‘Rangapancham’, a theatre workshop organised by Panchamveda, one of the premier theatre organisations in the state, in association with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), inaugurated on the premises of Panchamveda office Sunday.
The workshop was inaugurated by MLA Ananta Narayan Jena and attended by theatre personalities like Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi, secretary, Prabodh Rath, Dhira Mallick, Abhinna Routray, Bhaskar Chandra Mohapatra and senior journalist Pradosh Patnaik.
Working president, Panchamveda, Haren Sahoo, who presided over the inaugural ceremony informed that 15 participants, including six girls, have enrolled for the 15-day long workshop.
“The workshop is a production oriented one. While noted theatre personality Gajendra Nayak is the theatre director, the participants will have some playwrights, directors, actors and music directors as guests,” informed Sahoo.
On the concluding day the participants will be given certificates and a play will be staged.
Panchamveda, secretary, Prakash Maharana, informed that COVID-19 guidelines will strictly be followed at the workshop. Among others, Prashant Mohapatra, Bhajakrushna Mohanty and Kailash Mohapatra attended the event.
