New Delhi: The illustrious ‘Parijaat Award’ festival hosted by Kala Kalp Sanskrutik Sansthan, under the distinguished stewardship of festival director Dr (Ms) Atasi Misra, was held with pomp and pageantry at Lajpat Bhawan Auditorium, Delhi on September 13.
The evening began with National Anthem, followed by Lord Jagannath’s idol being taken in a ceremonial pahandi and placed on the stage, suffusing the atmosphere with devotion.

Thereafter began the auspicious lighting the lamp ceremony attended by dignitaries of high repute, including Mr Dibakar Das (Deputy Director, CCRT), Yogini Gurumaa Mahamandaleshwar Radha Saraswati Maharaj, Dr Ved Prakash Tandon (Chairman, Trinity Group of Institutions), and Mr Gottfried (Head of Cooperation, Embassy of Germany, New Delhi). Shri Mohit Madhav, Vice President of Kala Kalp also graced the dais.
After the ceremonial lighting the lamp ceremony, the stage came alive with a bouquet of scintillating performances, leaving the art lovers enthralled.

The cultural evening got off to fine start with 14 senior students of Kala Kalp Sanskrutik Sansthan led by Dr (Ms) Atasi Misra presenting ‘Krishna Tandav’, choreographed by Guru Gajendra Panda and directed by Guru Dr (Ms) Misra. While Prashant Kumar Mangaraj on the Pakhawaj, Prashant Kumar Behera on vocal support & the Harmonium and Nikhil Behera on the Flute lent a good support to the dancers, the dancers carved poetry in motion with sculptural grace.
The following item was a solo Kathak recital ‘Krishna Kavit’ performed by Sushree Ipshita Ganguly from Chhattisgarh. Her painting of rhythmic pattern on the stage left the art lovers glued to their seats.

Next, young and talented Mohiniyattam dancer Sushree Vishnupriya Marar came with a riveting solo performance ‘Krishna Abhinaya’, followed by a group Odissi recital by Dr (Ms) Misra and her disciples. They presented an abhinaya, depicting the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu on the first stanza of the Gita Govinda.

The fifth item was a solo Bharatanatyam recital by Yana Suresh from Delhi, bringing alive devotion and narrative intensity. The following item was a sparkling Tabla–Violin jugalbandi by Lohith Sarthak Mohanty and Siddhesh Ganesh kept the audience glued to their seats while a soul stirring ‘Bhagavat Katha’ by eight-year-old Shri Madhav Dubey from Vrindavan struck a chord, underscoring how Indian art is wedded to spirituality.

On this occasion, Kathak dancer Ipsita Ganguly, Mohiniyattam dancer Sushree Vishnupriya Marar and Violin player Siddhesh Ganesh were awarded with ‘Parijaat Award’, while Bharatanatyam dancer Yana Suresh, Tabla player Lohith Sarthak Mohanty and Bhagavat kathakar child prodigy Shri Madhav Dubey were felicitated with ‘Parijaat Ankur Award’.
The evening also witnessed around 150 winners of Aarohan 2025 and participants of workshops and seminars were honoured.
In her address, Dr Misra reiterated the Sansthan’s mission of grooming young talents in music, dance, yoga, and Vedic knowledge. Echoing her vision, Mr Madhav, stressed that the ‘Parijaat Award’ is a cultural bridge that binds India’s timeless heritage with the dreams of its youth.
The evening concluded with rapturous applause, indelibly underscoring Kala Kalp Sanskrutik Sansthan’s role as a custodian of India’s rich cultural heritage.
