Bhubaneswar: Tridhara is all set to present three-day-long 16th Guru Debaprasad Award Festival 2022 at Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar, commencing from October 28.
This year, eminent Odissi dancer Padma Vibhushan recipient Dr Sonal Mansingh will receive Guru Debaprasad Das Lifetime Achievement Award. Similarly, Kuchipudi dancer Vidushi Deepika Reddy (Hyderabad) and Kathak dancer Vidushi Prerana Shrimali will receive Guru Debaprasad Award 2022. Guru Debaprasad Prativa Award 2022 will be conferred upon Odissi dancer Tan Mei Mei (Malaysia) and Ghuduki/Sakhi Nata performer Radhashyam Tarai (Ganjam). This year’s Guru Debaprasad Sishu Prativa Award 2022 recipients are Aishwarya Lakshmi Errisson (Malaysia) and Suhana Mishra (Puri).
This year’s cultural evenings will have carefully chosen performances. While Padma Bhushan recipient Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt will present Mohan Veena recital, there will be a surprise in the form of Bagmishree Das, who is Guru Debaprasad Das’s grand daughter. An Odissi dancer, she will sure to have the audience in her thrall.
