Bhubaneswar: Organised by Guru Debaprasad Das Foundation, 6th Debaprasad Utsav-2021 will be observed at Utkal Rangamancha, GKCM Odissi Research Center from 6:30 pm onwards on October 28.
Besides scintillating performances, the presentation of Guru Debaprasad Samman, Guru Debaprasad Yuva Prativa Samman and Guru Debaprasad Naba Prativa Samman is another attraction of the festival.
This year, Guru Debaprasad Samman will be conferred upon Guru Ramahari Das, Sangeeta Gosain, Sikata Das and Ajaya Kumar Choudhary.
The recipient of Guru Debaprasad Yuva Prativa Samman are Suraj Kumar Sahoo and E. Suriya. Similarly, Padmaja Priyambada, Chinmaya Kumar Das, Mirabala Samantaray, Anisha Abhishikta Rout and Srutishree Swain are the recipients of Guru Debaprasad Naba Prativa Samman.
The cultural session will have beautiful performances. There will be a group dance by the students of Guru Debaprasad Das Foundation. And, renowned dancer Namita Ray, Guru Sangeeta Das, E.Suriya and Aneesh Raghavan will also enthrall audience.
Notably, established in 1995, Guru Debaprasad Das Foundation organises two major festivals in a year. They are ‘Puripurnaa’ and Deba Prasad Utsav on the death and birth anniversaries of Guruji.
