North 24 Praganas: Ganrapota Saptak Natya Sanstha, one of the premier theatre organisations in West Bengal, will organise the third edition of ‘Rooftop Theatre Festival ‘ at Ganrapota High School at Ganrapota under Bongaon Sub Division in North 24 Praganas district, West Bengal, on March 27, on the occasion of World Theatre Day.
On this occasion, three Bengali plays will be staged. The first play of the evening will be ‘Jihad’, presented by New Barrackpore Drishyantan, written and directed by Shouvick Ghosh.
Ganrapota Saptak Natya Sanstha will present the second play of the evening. It is ‘Comfort Zone Athoba More Geli Arunesh?’, written by Swapan Ranjan Haldar and directed by Pronay Biswas and Ruma Chatterjee.
The concluding play of the evening is a workshop oriented play titled ‘Dui Pakhi’. It will be staged once again by Ganrapota Saptak Natya Sanstha, based on the poem of Rabindranath Tagore and directed by Pronay Biswas and Ruma Chatterjee.
