Actor Paresh Rawal appointed as chairman, NSD

Former BJP MP and actor Paresh Rawal has been appointed as the chairman of prestigious National School of Drama (NSD).
Rawal made his debut in ‘Arjun’, released in 1985. He was a supporting role. Then in 1986 came Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav starrer ‘Naam’. Rawal was in a negative role in the film. He was appreciated as well as accepted by cinegoers.
Thereafter, there was no looking back for him. Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, Awara Paagal Deewana, Hulchal, Garam Masala, Malamaal Weekly, Welcome are some of his films that are referred as Bollywood cult classics.
For Hera Pheri, he won the Filmfare best comedian award. In 2014, he received Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award in India.
