Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Photography Day, the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi inaugurated a three-day Photography Workshop at the Kalinga Art Gallery on Wednesday.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of Secretary of the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi Dr. Debajani Bhuyan, Additional Inspector General, Directorate of Odisha Prisons and Correctional Services, Mr. Ashish Kumar Jena and photographer Mr. Dilip Dhir Samant attended as guests.
On the occasion of World Photography Day, the guests extended their greetings and best wishes to all the participants.
In the present era, the photography profession has seen a significant surge, with growing interest among the younger generation in pursuing photography as a career, the guests observed.
The photography workshop organised by the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi would help participants gain knowledge of various technical aspects and skills of photography, while also contributing significantly to the development of their creativity, they added.
Worth mentioning, around 120 participants from different districts of Odisha are taking part in the photography workshop. During the three-day workshop, training is being provided on ‘Basics of Photography’, ‘Street and Candid Photography’, ‘Landscape Photography’ and ‘Portrait Photography’.
