Bhubaneswar: Like past 34 years, ‘Tridhara’-the dance institution founded by none other than late Guru Debaprasad Das- is going to organise ‘Shradhanjali Samaroha 2020’ this year too.

The festival is scheduled to be held at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm on March 16, 2021.

Informing that more than 350 dancers in solo, duet and group segments had participated in last year’s festival, director, Tridhara, Guru Gajendra Panda said they are planning to give opportunity to more participants this year.
“It has been decided that gurus and performers of Guru Debaprasad Das style will be given opportunity to perform in the festival. Interested artistes are requested to send their CVs and details about their chosen items like name of the dance item, name of the Guru and institution, duration of the item, number of artistes and their names to pandagajendra989@gmail.com,” he informed, adding that the solo and duet segments are only for direct disciple of Guruji or senior dancers of his tradition.

He also clarified that because the festival is observed in remembrance of Guruji, the items must either be his choreographies or of his tradition of Odissi dance. “Participation certificate will be provided to all artistes,” he informed.
