Bhubaneswar: Keeping up with its tradition of providing best of the best dance and music recitals, TRIDHARA, Bhubaneswar, under the guidance of Guru Dr Gajendra Panda, presents 14th Guru Debaprasad Award Festival. The three-day long festival begins from February 13 at Rabindra Mandap here 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
While the recipients of Guru Debaprasad Award 2020 are Odissi dancer Padma Shri awardee Guru Aruna Mohanty from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Sattriya dancer Padma Shri awardee Bayanacharya Guru Ghanakanta Bora from Assam and Mohiniyattam dancer Bidushi Gopika Varma from Chennai, Guru Debaprasad Prativa Award 2020 will be conferred on Guru Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar Behera (Balasore), Guru Prativa Panda (Bhubaneswar), Guru Binod Chandra Sahu (Kandhamal) and Guru Palomi Mandal (Kolkata).
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is Bhajan Samrat Padma Shri awardee Anup Jalota.
Like past years, the festival has a slew of dance and music recitals for art connoisseurs. Besides, the inaugural evening’s highlight is bhajan and ghazal recitals by none other than Padma Shri awardee Anup Jalota.
